It begins
Actually, it began over a month ago when plans fell into place to remodel the kitchen. We hadn’t planned on it, at least in 2008, but here we are.
Today, the remainder of the cabinets (I’d lost upper cabinets and have been living out of rubbermaid totes for the last month or so) went buh-bye. That means my sink did to. As did many outlets.
Oh, and drywall, yeah, we’ve got exposed studs, capped off has and water piping and…that’s about it, along one wall of the kitchen.
It’s going to make it interesting to survive. I’ll see if I can take a pic or two or three and post the progress. On the hope and prayer that progress is made VERY, VERY soon.
I’m off to shop vac up the dust and take any/all exposed dishes to the bathtub for a wash, er, bath.
Oh, oh! I’ve no stove either, btw…and it appears I’ll have to unplug the fridge in order to run the microwave. Welcome to hell. ![]()
oh holy crap. I think I’d need to have that all done in like… a day or something.
Um….good luck.

Yikes!!! I’m going to be in your shoes in several weeks. I just signed the contract for a major addition and renovation on our house and my kitchen is included. Which is awesome in the end, but I’m so not looking forward to the stage you’re at now. Good luck!
