Update: 1pm Whatever day this is... Tuesday? Gah. Day after storm.
The family, hubby, kid, father in law and I banded together and cut and sawed and carried and planned and roped and...removed the 30 ft (estimated) portion of the tree that was lying on the garage and house.

The remainder of the tree is standing, but any good wind will send it over. power lines are still draped across top of the garage, and we've called utility company, but they're estimating 30,000 in our county still without power. This was a violent storm. So we're not priority, since we have electricity.

When the neighbor gets home, we'll be back out there, planning how we're going to get the rest of the tree down. Very bad location, with no way to really fell it straight down. bleh. We did this, we can finish it. Right?

Thanks for the offer to move. Sounds tempting. There's still four more trees in my yard. :wtf:

um...yikes! I'm glad y'all are ok.

I think it's time you move. I'd say down here, but we're part of tornado alley too, so maybe not.

Good thing you're in the insurance business, huh?
